Dive Accident Response Team

Plunging into Clear Lake, searching for missing boaters and rafters, helping to ensure the safety of the waterways of Clear Lake, the CLEMC Dive Accident Rescue Team (DART) faces a challenging mission.  The Clear Lake Dive and Rescue Team is the First Texas EMS based Dive and Rescue Response Team.  CLEMC has established a Dive and Rescue Team that has a current staff of 12 certified advanced open water/Search and Rescue Divers, and multiple surface support personnel.  CLEMC DART became fully functional on June 8, 2004. The specialty of this team is that it consists of 8 Paramedics and several EMT'S and we are able to render advanced paramedic level of care immediately upon patient's being removed from a water accident.
