Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps (CLEMC) Dive Accident Rescue Team (DART) Recovery of Missing Boater
League City, Texas. – The Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps (CLEMC) Dive Accident Rescue Team (DART) assisted the League City Police Department and League City EMS with the recovery of a male boater in the vicinity of South Shore Harbor Marina ON 04JUL08.
CLEMC received a call at approximately 2236 to assist in locating a male that had been missing for an extended period of time. CLEMC deployed its Dive Team and began its search pattern at the South Shore Harbor Marina and was able to recover the body of the missing male within two minutes of entering the water.

DART Members are cited for outstanding performance during Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps (CLEMC) Dive Accident Rescue Team (DART) response to a drowning at the South Shore Marina on the evening of 04JUL08. Their timely and direct assistance during this response allowed for the safe and successful night dive that led to the recovery of the drowning victim. For the loved ones of the victim, recovery of the body is of the utmost importance for closure. The Dive Accident Rescue Team’s dedication, judgment, and devotion to duty are the most heartily commended and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps.
