Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps worked closely with Clear Lake Regional Medical Center to assist them in obtaining Cycle IV accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. By working with Clear Lake Regional Medical Center we have been able to: implement cardiac cath lab activation from the field, wirelessly transmit 12 lead ECG's to the ED and Cardiologists; track EMS dispatch to balloon times to reduce the time needed for definitive treatment of a heart attack; improve patient care; and to reduce patient stays for those suffering different cardiac ailments.
With three identified time sensitive diagnosis, trauma injuries, heart attack and stroke, we recognize that steps taken in the field dramatically shorten the time it takes for patients to recieve life-saving treatments like emergency surgery, angioplasty, placement of stents or CAT scan. Our partnership with Clear Lake Regional Medical Center provides for on-going monitoring and evaluation in these areas of care to be sure the best outcomes are achieved.
