Community Outreach

As a non-profit organization, Clear Lake EMS offers various services to our community. We are dedicated to providing a safer and healthier environment for our citizens. This philosophy is embedded in the programs we offer.

  • Our Kidz Care program aims at reducing childhood illnesses by providing free immunizations to all children

  • The Vial of Life program is intended to make emergency situations easier and less stressful for the patient, family members, and the responding medics

  • We offer CPR courses for both health care providers and any citizen interested in learning this life saving technique

These are just some of our commitments to our promise. If you are interested in any of these programs, or have questions about other programs we offer, please feel free to contact us or read below for more details.

Safe Sitter®

Safe Sitter® is a national, non-profit organization that provides programs to teach youth life and safety skills for when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Over 175 lives have been saved by Safe Sitter® graduates using their skills. Young teens need training in first aid, indoor and outdoor safety, and how to handle household emergencies before they adequately prepared to stay home alone or watch younger siblings. Safe Sitter® graduates are prepared with the knowledge they need to prevent problems and handle unexpected emergencies.

Wag'n O2 Fur Life®

(The Pet Oxygen Mask Initiative)

Losing a pet due to a house fire can be a devastating experience. As most pet owners leave their furry companions home alone when they go to work, pets are left to fend for themselves in the event of a house fire. While affixing 'rescue alert stickers" to your home can be helpful to first responders, saving the pet's life is not assured. Unlike humans who instinctively run out during fires, pets instinctively look for a hiding place to protect them from the fire.

The Clear Lake Emergency Medical Services has been a sponsor of this program since 2014 and has placed these life saving kits onboard all of our ambulances. We feel that not only do we need to treat our human patients, but our animal patients, too.
